男 and 女 sound impolite so we usually say 男性 and 女性.

性 means "sex"

Did you know that in Japan a smart girl can't be

good girlfriend though can be a good friend.

How about in your country, and you?

So if you want to make a boyfriend in Japan, be silly not so smart XD.

But actually I don't think this thinking is good,

because Ladies should also have their own wills

and shouldn't be controlled men's tastes.

Don't worry a smart lady is also cool and reliable in

Japan.

Oh you didn't worry about that?! XD

So I explain about the grammars used in the sentence!

Let's go!

🔵🔵🔵🔵🔵🔵🔵🔵🔵🔵🔵🔵🔵🔵🔵🔵🔵🔵

👉日本の男性/ni-hon no dan-sei/

日本 means '' Japan"
の means like "of"
男性 means "gentlemen" as written above.

So 日本の男性 means "gentlemen of Japan" and it

meams "Japanese gentlemen"

👉賢い/kashiko-i/

This word has many meanings: wise, clever, smart,

intelligent and brilliant.

They all can be translated as 賢い

As you can see, 賢い can't be always a word for

praise.

👉賢い女性より/kashiko-i jo-sei yori/

女性 means "ladies"

So 賢い女性 means "smart ladies" here.

より means "than"

👉少しお馬鹿な女性/suko-shi o-ba-ka na jo-sei/

少し means "a little"

お馬鹿な means "silly"

So 少しお馬鹿な女性 means "a little silly ladies"

If you say without お like 馬鹿な, it sounds serious

and means like "foolish" or even "stupid".

But still it can sometimes be used as a joke.

👉好む/kono-mu/

This means "to prefer"

That's all explanations.

So can you translate the first sentence?

日本の男性は賢い女性より少しお馬鹿な女性を好む

this means like this:

"Japanese gentlemen prefer a little silly ladies than

smart ladies"

and it means

"Japanese gentlemen prefer a little silly ladies to

smart ones"

So that's all today.

Thank you so much for reading!!

Ask me if you have any questions.

I hope this helps you.

See you next time!
