So today's word is 靴

How to write 靴👇

Example sentence (about Japan):
・日本では家に入るとき靴を脱ぐ
/ni-hon dewa ie ni hai-ru toki kursu o nu-gu/
...In Japan, when you enter a house, you should take off your shoes.
Did you know that?
This may be not so surprising fact now.
You take off your shoes not only in a house but also
in a hotel.
At restaurants, you don't have to, but a dentist near
my house asks us to take off our shoes.
So it really depends on the place.
Some schools can be entered with shoes, but mine
does not allow.
So when you enter certain place, be careful if you
can enter with shoes or not.
So I explain about the grammar used in the sentence!!
🔵🔵🔵🔵🔵🔵🔵🔵🔵🔵🔵🔵🔵🔵🔵🔵🔵🔵
👉日本/ni-hon/
This means Japan.
👉日本では/ni-hon dewa/
では is not used so much.
To begin with, it's put after a noun of place like
Japan.
And we use では when we tell about facts and rules
of the place.
So if I say 日本では〜, you guess that I'd tell about
some Japan's facts or rules, OK?
For example,
ここでは走るな
/koko dewa hashi-ru na/
... Don't run here
→ここ means here, which is a place noun
→な is put after a verb and make the form "don't ~"
→ The sentence tells about the rule of "here"
👉家に入る/ie ni hai-ru/
家 means a house
入る means to enter.
に is put after a place noun, and it means like "to"
For example,
公園に行く
/kou-en NI i-ku/
...I go TO the park
→公園 means a park, which is a place.
→に is put after a noun of place.
→行く means "to go"
So 家に入る means "to enter a house"
👉家に入るとき/ie ni hai-ru toki/
とき means "when~"
So 家に入るとき means "when you enter a house"
"When" has some usages, but とき is used as this
way only.
👉靴を脱ぐ/kutsu o nu-gu/
靴 means shoes
脱ぐ means to take off
を is put after an object.
So 靴を脱ぐ means "to take off shoes"
That's all explanations.
Now you can translate the first sentence!
日本では家に入るとき靴を脱ぐ, this means like
this:
"In Japan, when you enter a house, you take off your
shoes"
And it means "when you enter a house, you should
take off your shoes"
So that's all today.
Thank you so much for reading!
Ask me if you have any questions.
I answer with all my pleasure.
I hope this helps you.
See you next time~!
I was requested to make a lesson for verbs' forms.
So I make it next.
