👉風林火山
/fū-rin-ka-zan/
This yo-ji-juku-go is written on flags which samurai
used when they battle.
Like this (very long XD):
This is read vertically.
This sentence is written in Chinese, and it means like this:
"To be speedy like wind, to be quite like forest,
invade countries like fire spreads, be firm like
mountains"
風 means wind
林 means forest
火 means fire
山 means a mountain
So 風林火山 is an ideal strong strength for samurai.
Yo-ji-juku-go is made like that.
👉森羅万象
/shin-ra-ban-shou/
This means "all things in the world, including the
森 means much bigger forest than 林.
羅 meams a net.
万 means 10,000 and it means a big number.
象 means objects.
So 森羅万象 means like
"the huge forest with no limit like a net and millions
of objects"
👉電光石火
/den-kou-se-kka/
This means "for a very short time" or "to ack very
fast"
電 means electricity
光...means light
石 means stone
火 means fire
So 電光石火 means "to be speedy like electric light
travels or like sparks caused by rubbing stones"
👉魑魅魍魎
/chi-mi-mou-ryou/
This is an imaginary monster in a Japanese old
story.
So that's all today.
Thank you so much for reading!
Ask me if you have any questions.
I hope this helps you.
See you next time~
